The Application Process and Camp 2026

Details

Applying to Camp Attitude

Thank you for your interest in attending Camp Attitude! If you are a returning family, we can’t wait to welcome you back and if you are new, we can’t wait to meet you!

Returning Families: You will see a change to our waitlist registration process! Camp Attitude is now utilizing a Google Form for the waitlist. If you joined the Rolling Waitlist through UltraCamp, those applications are active and were rolled into the new Google Form. They are time stamped and at the Front of the Line. All waitlist applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis, and we will have certain priority spots reserved for first-time families.

New Families: If you are new and have never attended Camp Attitude, you may join the Rolling Waitlist between November 1st and May 1st yearly. Please review the Waitlist FAQ’s for more information.

Please Note: The waitlist is extensive! The waitlist currently has approximately 215 families, which encompasses both new and returning families. Approximately 115-125 families can be served each summer. It is possible you will not be able to attend in the year that you apply. However, do not be discouraged! We will do our best to accommodate your family when space becomes available. As a reminder, families may not attend camp two years in a row, due to the waitlist. While we are making every effort for families to end bi-yearly, it is not guaranteed.

Camp Attitude works on a rolling Waitlist System

  • Rolling Waitlist Registration occurs yearly from November 1st – May 1st. Please review Waitlist Registration FAQ’s, prior to registering.
  • Families who attended camp in 2025 are NOT on the waitlist and will need to “Get back in line!”
  • Families who are scheduled to come to Summer Camp 2026 may not register for the waitlist until November 1, 2026. Applications received prior to this date will be deleted.
  • If you need to find out if your family is on the waitlist or have eligibility questions, please contact us: director@campattitude.com
  • This button will activate and link to Waitlist Registration yearly on November 1st at 9 AM PST and close on May 1st at 5 PM PST.
  • All applicants will receive a text and email confirmation within 7-14 business days of their Waitlist Registration.

Time to keep an eye on your email and texts!

Camp 2026 registration is complete and all camps are currently FULL!

Summer 2027 registration will begin in November of 2026.

As camp enters its 26th year, we are continuing to pilot varied lengths of camp sessions. Additionally, Lake Day activities offered will vary between sessions.

Camp Attitude Summer 2026 Sessions

Camp Attitude 2026 registration is now complete. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to fill the spot with the next appropriate family on the waitlist.

Camp Attitude 2027 Summer Registration will begin in November 2026. What does this mean, exactly?

  • Phase 1, Priority Registration: Families who were scheduled to come to camp in 2026, but had to cancel, are in the 1st round of 2027 camp registration. The goal is to complete this phase by Thanksgiving each year.
  • Adult, Medically Complex & Nut Free Registration: While priority registration is occurring, these groups are also undergoing registration, as they have specific weeks of attendance.
  • Phase 2, Standard Registration: As priority registration is completed, standard registration begins and the next round of families on the rolling waitlist are contacted. Approximately 15-20 families are contacted at a time, to ensure accuracy and placement in the appropriate camp for each family. As we work through each “batch”, we move onto the next “batch” of families.
  • Complexities of Camp Attitude: The family living with special needs has unique needs. Ensuring your family is going to have an incredible time at camp is our top priority, so there is a great deal of conversation between camp administration and your family during the registration process.
  • Completion of Summer Registration: The goal is to complete summer registration by mid-December each year, but completion may not occur until January.
  • How can you help? When you are notified that you are “You’re coming off the waitlist!”, your prompt response is greatly appreciated and keeps the registration process moving efficiently.
  • Remaining Waitlisted Families: Once registration for the upcoming summer is completed, families who did not get into the camp for the upcoming summer will be contacted and will remain on the waitlist. If a cancellation occurs, families who are the “Next Best Fit” are contacted and offered a spot at camp.
  • What does “Next Best Fit” mean? Why doesn’t Camp Attitude move directly to the next family on the waitlist when a family cancels? Every effort is made to go in order of the waitlist, however, this isn’t always possible. To best serve each camper family, each session of camp aims to serve a 50-50 split of male and female attendees (due to Buddy dynamics), a balance of diagnosis, family size, sibling count and other imperative details, so that the family can be served well during their time at camp. Example: If a female camper cancels, we will find the next appropriate female to fill the cancellation spot. The diagnosis is rarely the same, but camper family size and the needs of the family unit are typically similar.
  • Waitlist Accuracy: To ensure an accurate and updated waitlist, staff will reach out 1-2 times yearly. If you no longer wish to be on the waitlist, we kindly ask you notify us as soon as possible – it is very helpful! If your phone number and/or email change, please reach out and it will be updated.
