The mission field is in your backyard
In the Bible, Mark 12:31, Jesus instructs us to love and care for our neighbors.
Over 40 million Americans are affected in some way by disability, and yet families living with special needs often feel isolated and overlooked by society.
At Camp Attitude, our mission is to demonstrate a biblical response toward disabilities and provide opportunities for diversity awareness through a fun and exciting family camp experience.
There are many ways you can serve at Camp Attitude! We need Buddies, Servant Team, Lifeguards, Nursing Staff and Kitchen Staff to answer the Lord’s call and volunteer to help our campers have the best week of their lives.
A willingness to learn and a desire to serve is all you need! We will provide the necessary support and training. And since our mission is to connect our Campers to Jesus, we ask that our volunteers also demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What is a Buddy?
Buddies are high school or college aged students, who volunteer to be a personal one-on-one friend to a camper with special needs or their sibling. They spend all week hanging out, going fishing, doing crafts, watching movies, enjoying lake day activities and more with their camper.
What is a Servant?
If you prefer to be behind the scenes, Servant Team is the place for you! Servants help prepare meals, clean restrooms, do dishes, and many other tasks that help camp run smoothly. This is a great place to serve as a family and teach your children what it means to be a servant of God. Anyone of any age can be a servant!
What is the goal?
TO SERVE and TO GROW! Every week we help families by giving them a break from their busy lives. Annnd….in your service you will be used as a tool to share the love & light of Jesus!
